Your Opportunity
We are seeking an innovative Maths & Science Teacher and Curriculum Designer to ignite a love for STEAM in middle years learners aged 11–14, with opportunities to work with younger years. If you enjoy experimenting with innovative instructional methods, ideating and designing progressive curricula, and making maths and science engaging in a project-based learning environment, this could be your dream role.


Responsibilities

  • Teach core maths and science concepts aligned with the English National Curriculum.
    Incorporate relevant, real-world applications into your teaching.

  • Connect the maths and science curriculum with school-wide projects.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.

  • Use diagnostic and formative data to meet differentiated student needs.

  • Empower students on personalised learning journeys.

  • Collaborate with educators to support interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial, and art-filled learning experiences through Understanding by Design (UbD) best practices.

  • Guide young people in developing their personal portfolios, showcasing their growth, achievements, and projects.

  • Facilitate the development of executive functioning, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Engage parents through regular and meaningful communication.

  • Encourage students to embrace nature and regeneration while learning in shared spaces and outdoor settings.

  • Stay at the forefront of educational innovation, adapting to emerging trends in maths and science instruction.

  • Use technology, including learning management systems and AI, to deepen learning.

  • Contribute to after-school activities and supervision duties.


Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years of teaching maths and sciences (ages 11–14) with a preference for innovative teaching methods.

  • A teaching qualification or a Master's degree in Education.

  • A passion for regeneration, social impact, and progressive education

  • Experience with project-based learning is a plus.

  • Native or near-native English proficiency with strong spoken and written communication skills.

  • A track record of working with culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.

  • Resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated integration of innovative practices using a range of educational technologies.

  • Alignment with our school values, including a love of plant-based living and a commitment to equity and excellence.
