Role overview

This role is a unique combination of dynamic community coordination and steady, day-to-day reception duties. On the one hand, you’ll be the welcoming face of the School, greeting families, supporting students, and keeping our daily operations running smoothly. On the other, you’ll bring energy and creativity to our community life, helping to organise events, after-school activities, and projects that make our school an inspiring place to learn and work.

We know this is an unusual mix, and we see it as a strength. If you enjoy balancing structure with variety - switching between keeping things organised and engaging with people - this role could be a great fit. You’ll work closely with our passionate educator team, support parents and visitors, and contribute to the overall rhythm and spirit of our school community.

Areas where you can make a difference

1. Daily operations (reception & administration)

  • Be the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere

  • Oversee daily school attendance, supporting morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up

  • Manage visitor registration, couriers, post, and general school logistics

  • Report and follow up on maintenance and cleaning needs in the building

  • Keep school processes clear and up to date using Google Workspace tools

  • Support student administration and occasional card payments

  • Assist with procurement of learning resources and supplies, focusing on sustainability and ethical sourcing

  • Coordinate Health & Safety processes, including training, record-keeping, and acting as Deputy Fire Marshall

2. Community engagement (events & projects)

  • Design and coordinate after-school activities and private class schedules with accuracy and efficiency

  • Develop and maintain the portfolio of after-school activities and private classes

  • Collaborate with the team to organise in-house and outdoor events, excursions, and open houses

  • Help create meaningful community events that bring families and team together

  • Be a helpful source of local information for international families and educators

  • Lead your own projects based on skills and interest

What will help you thrive in this role
  • Confidence with digital tools, especially Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Forms, Calendar, etc.), an interest in working with AI tools and strong organisational skills

  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, hospitality/front-of-house, office management, customer service, or school administration

  • Fluency in English and Hungarian (both are essential for daily work)

  • An approachable, empathetic, and discreet personality, a true “people person” who builds warm, positive relationships

  • Experience working with children, young people, or families, ideally across culturally diverse communities

  • A self-starter attitude: resourceful, adaptable, proactive, and creative, with persistence to see things through

  • Alignment with our school’s culture and purpose, including our passion for plant-based food, sustainability, and social impact

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, economics, tourism, education, or administration is an advantage (but equivalent experience is also valued)

  • Experience with sustainable or entrepreneurial causes is a strong plus

Why you’ll love working with us
  • Predictable working hours during school days, with the flexibility to work mainly from home during school breaks

  • The chance to be part of a purpose-driven community, where sustainability and positive impact are at the heart of daily life

  • An energetic, collaborative, and compassionate team that values kindness, creativity and excellence

  • Opportunities to grow, including learning from inspiring professionals

  • Delicious plant-based lunches, freshly prepared

  • Fair compensation, aligned with our commitment to keeping the School accessible to a diverse community
